A note to our patients

Your safety comes first

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our processes are built so that when you receive care, it's both safe and comfortable.

We follow infection control recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and keep up with any new guidance they issue.

What you may notice at your next visit

  • We'll reach out beforehand with a few screening questions, and ask them again in the office.
  • Hand sanitizer is available when you enter, in the reception area and elsewhere in the office.
  • The waiting room no longer offers magazines, children's toys and similar items that are hard to disinfect.
  • Appointments are managed to allow social distancing between patients, which may mean fewer scheduling options.
  • We build in more time between patients to reduce waiting times and the number of people in reception at once.

About us

Dr. William D. Eaves

Dr. Eaves is an honor graduate of Boston College and Boston University Dental School. He started his career in public health dentistry at the Dorchester House. In 1997 he became the Dental Director at the South Boston Neighborhood Health Center and has been a fixture in South Boston ever since, opening a private practice in 1999. Aside from private practice at 216 Dorchester St., Dr. Eaves is currently the Dental Director at the Lynn Community Health Center.

He holds faculty positions at Boston University Dental School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and very much enjoys mentoring young aspiring dentists in all aspects of patient care.

Dr. Eaves is a long-standing member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the South Boston Chamber of Commerce. He has received a number of alumni and community awards and has been profiled in Boston University's alumni magazine. He is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality care.
